We are Recruiting a Rental Executive

Gus Commercials, part of the Traction Group, is one of Northern Ireland’s most reputable independent providers of commercial vehicle hire, sales, servicing and parts and is known for the great care we take with clients and employees alike.

Criteria

  • Minimum 3 years’ vehicle hire experience
  • Demonstrable strong communication skills
  • Exhibit practical knowledge of computerised systems
  • Be a strong team player who is motivated by variety and responsibility
  • As a minimum possesses 5 GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above
  • Hold an HGV licence (or be willing to obtain)


Role Purpose

  • To undertake the role and responsibly of a Rental Executive
  • To ensure the efficient daily running of rental department
  • To provide cover for service advisor as required 
  • To ensure customer requests and queries are dealt with politely, promptly and efficiently

Key Responsibilities – Rental Executive

  • Handle all telephone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner, adhering to the company’s telephone technique
  • Provide a high level of Customer Service in all customer contact situations, recognising the company’s Customer Service standards and your opportunity to deliver total customer satisfaction
  • Take bookings and explain rental terms and conditions to customers
  • Carry out instructions/procedures as requested by Senior Management 
  • Adhere to Self-Drive Hire Insurance terms and conditions
  • Accurately complete all rental administration and vehicle documentation according to the Company’s Operating Procedure
  • Drive company vehicles with care and adhere to the company Driving Standards Policy
  • Deliver and collect vehicles to customers specified requirements and inform customers of all relevant information regarding vehicle handover and termination
  • Complete fleet checks in order to protect and monitor company assets
  • Ensure effective damage reporting to minimise unnecessary repair costs
  • Ensure that maintenance levels are adhered to and monitored regularly
  • Ensure effective monitoring of the Pre-Hire and Return Condition Report
  • Identify potential contract hire, spot hire clients to maximise business opportunities
  • Identify personal training and development needs to keep abreast of current legislation in the Rental / Commercial Vehicle Market    
  • Liaise with Rental Manager to achieve necessary vehicle levels to maximise business opportunities
  • Liaise with internal departments where appropriate
  • Any other reasonable duty as requested by Senior Management

Key Responsibilities – Service Administrator

  • Provide cover for the Service Advisor as and when required
  • Take an active part in upholding the Company’s Health and Safety Policy as set out in the Statement of Main Terms of Employment
